Over the last few years, we have noticed a rise in the number of senior leaders who have come to appreciate that to inspire and lead all of those in their teams and organisations, different approaches and leadership styles are needed. The idea of emotional intelligence was first popularised in the mid 90’s by Daniel Goleman in his book Emotional intelligence. However, it has become even clearer that in the world in which we live today, to create psychologically safe organisations and teams, EQ, over IQ is key.
At Synergy for Growth we work with leaders to develop their emotional intelligence, to help them to listen to their bodies and to become aware of / understand their feelings and emotions. This in turn creates improved self-awareness, understanding of others, empathy, renewed / better understood purpose, resilience and confidence to name a few benefits.
